Unlocking Serenity: The Story at the Heart of My Art

"Pandemia" is an intimate portrait that invites you to connect with the emotions of a world in crisis. Inspired by a photograph by Mou Aysha, this oil painting seeks to capture the resilience and vulnerability of the human spirit during the pandemic. Using palette knife and cold wax on a wood canvas, I aimed to create a textured and expressive surface that reflects the complexities of human experience.

The greatest challenge in creating "Pandemia" was translating the subtle nuances of the photograph into an oil painting, capturing not just the likeness of the subject but also the depth of her emotions. I focused on the expression in her eyes, using color and texture to convey a sense of loneliness, sweetness, hard life, and beauty. My hope is that this painting evokes compassion, love, and empathy in the viewer, reminding us of our shared humanity during a time of global crisis.
