Unlocking Serenity: The Story at the Heart of My Art

This painting is my interpretation of the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights in Rhodes, Greece. I was immediately captivated by the palace's imposing architecture, the intricate details of its stonework, and the way the light danced across its ancient walls. I wanted to share the emotions it gave me such as that ''wow'' that I felt when I viewed it. It offered an amazing experience.

The challenge was to capture the majesty and scale of the palace while also conveying the sense of history and time etched into its stones. I wanted to create a painting that invites viewers to imagine the knights who once walked its halls and the events that shaped its destiny, what an interesting way to solve it and showcase it.

I created this artwork using watercolor on paper. Watercolor allowed me to capture the luminous quality of the light and to create a sense of depth and atmosphere.
