Unlocking Serenity: The Story at the Heart of My Art

El Ávila Mountain, is a prominent natural landmark, a beloved symbol of Caracas, Venezuela. It is known as Waraira Repano by the indigenous people, meaning "sea range,". Since then it has been called 'Cerro El Ávila'. It separates the city from the Caribbean Sea.

This watercolor captures the interplay of light and shadow on its slopes, with the historic Humboldt Hotel standing as a silent sentinel. This painting is an ode to the enduring beauty and serene presence of El Ávila, a constant source of inspiration and tranquility for the city below. I want to capture a feeling of awe, inspiration and hope, it was a complex thing to deliver but I did it.
